What is this verifier?

This tool allows you to cryptographically verify that your response was included in a Harmony Greenio synthesis. It uses Merkle tree inclusion proofs to provide mathematical certainty that your input wasn't tampered with or excluded.

How does verification work?

  1. Email Cleaning: Your response is cleaned to remove quotes and signatures
  2. Hashing: The cleaned response is hashed with metadata using SHA-256
  3. Hash Comparison: The computed hash is compared with your proof's leaf hash
  4. Merkle Verification: The proof path is verified against the Merkle root

What is a Merkle tree?

A Merkle tree is a cryptographic data structure that allows efficient verification of large datasets. Each response is hashed and becomes a "leaf" in the tree. These leaves are combined pairwise and hashed repeatedly until a single "root" hash remains. Your inclusion proof contains the sibling hashes needed to reconstruct the path from your leaf to the root.

Why is this secure?

Changing even a single character in any response would completely change its hash and break the Merkle tree verification. This makes it cryptographically infeasible to tamper with responses or exclude them from the synthesis.

All verification happens entirely in your browser. Your response text and proof never leave your device. No data is sent to any server.
